We are looking for an organized self-starter to join our team as a 2nd shift Section Manager 3 in LPSD at building KK, East Peoria, IL.
As a section manager, you will be leading a group of operators to drive improvement in a very dynamic and exciting work environment.
Job Duties Monitors and improves shop floor safety, aggressively eliminates unsafe processes Assures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules Determines priorities and sequences jobs Schedules and prioritizes constrained resources, and adjusts staffing to meet flow and customer requirements Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate Procures and distributes production material to meet schedules Increase production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination via LEAN principles Actively deploys section value stream improvements Practices and teaches CPS Guiding Principles Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with team leads and team members Drives root cause corrective action projects and drives continuous improvement Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section Leads the creation, implementation, and training of standard work procedures Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in a manufacturing-related discipline or 3
years of experience in a manufacturing environment Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing, manufacturing operations processes, materials and/or quality Must be willing to work outside of normal work hours including overtime and alternate shifts Top Candidates will also have Caterpillar experience is highly preferred Prior experience in heavy machinery and/or assembly Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Project management skills Lean manufacturing experience Good organizational skills and multitasking skills Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

59 pm This position will work 2nd shif The location for this position is East Peoria, IL in Building KK Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
