Position: Electrical/Controls Engineer


Position Type: Full-time plus great benefits, with overtime potential.


Position Location: Peoria, IL


Position Description: Concentric Integration is a fast-growing, but established firm that primarily provides control system automation, IT consulting, business intelligence, and turnkey solutions for water systems, sanitary districts, and power utilities.


The Electrical/Controls Engineer will be required to assist in the design, fabrication, programming, installation, commissioning/testing, & support of primarily Utility control systems (water/wastewater treatment and power plants). These systems typically include process instrumentation, control panels, motor controls, power monitoring, PLCs, OITs/HMIs, SCADA/DCS Systems, industrial networking, IT infrastructure, radio/cellular telemetry, reporting, & data collection.


Position Duties: 



  • Reports to Regional Automation Manager for work responsibilities, scheduling, and quality control.


  • Assist senior level staff with instrumentation & control design services for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, power utilities, and related facilities.


  • Provide in-house PLC/OIT/HMI programming and testing.


  • Provide onsite work for municipal clients including instrumentation configuration, installation assistance, and control system and process start-up/testing.


  • Both office and field work are required.


  • When skill level is at a level of competence to allow for independent work assignments, the Electrical/Controls Engineer will be expected to be "on-call" 24/7 to troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues.  Staff rotates on-call duties weekly between employees. <15 minute initial (phone) response time to outages when on-call is expected unless prior arrangements have been made (vacation, time off, etc.)



 Requirements 



  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Associates of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related program.


  • 3-5 Years of Experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer.


  • Advanced Computer Skills, Literacy, & Proficiency.


  • AutoCAD and Visio experience a plus, or must be willing to be quickly trained.


  • Must possess effective oral, written, & digital communication skills.


  • Must be able to easily interact with other staff & assist in communications with clients, customers, engineers, & contractors.


  • Must possess effective organizational skills for productive task and time management.


  • Must be able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner.


  • Must be willing to undertake self-development activities


  • Must provide own transportation (reimbursable) to drive a vehicle to various offices and client locations.


  • Must be able to occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds without assistance and be able to walk and stand for an entire day, if needed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
