Middleware Developer

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced middleware developer to work with and develop complex Application to Application Interfaces. Daily responsibilities would include DataPower development work along with understanding the business aspect of the requested changes. This includes fine tuning the environment to ensure data is flowing properly and efficiently. The select candidate will need to work closely with Business partners in the refining of requirements and the testing phases of development. Responsibilities will also include some troubleshooting skills to maintain quality and production environment, but focus will be on development. The selected candidate will also be asked to learn other technologies to provide solutions around API Management, SOA web services, Data Virtualization.
Candidate Responsibilities:
Design, code, test, and debug programs of varying levels of complexity.
Provides guidance and assistance to other team members.
Analyze user requests and software requirements for feasibility of design and potential impact while cognizant of time and cost constraints.
Assists customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts
Typical Day: Participate in Daily Stand up meetings Participate in hand off meetings of Requirements from Solution Designer Estimate the effort to have development work to Test environment Perform Development work per requirements Engage with Customer for testing Resolve coding issues determined in testing Identify gaps in requirements with possible solution provided Core hours are 9:00-3:00 with flexibility around that.
Educational Requirements: Technical Degree preferred.
Technical Skills/Required Skills:
At least 5 years' experience in DataPower development
Experience working with Offshore / remote teams and Business partners
Desired Skills:
Agile/Kanban experience preferred.
Experience with: IBM ESB / IIB, Datastage, Denodo, CastIron, and/or MQ
Knowledge of API Management, SOA web services, Data Virtualization
Differentiating factor - Years of development experience.
Soft Skills
Strong ability to learn new technologies
Strong written and verbal communication abilities



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
