Overview
The Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology Program is a great opportunity for anyone interested in going to school to learn a skilled trade in a high-demand industry. Students will go through a two-year curriculum where they will rotationally attend Illinois Central College, located in East Peoria, IL. Upon completion of the program, ability to earn an Associate in Applied Science Degree from Illinois Central College
Basic Duties
The Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology Program combines classroom work in state of the art labs with real-world experience through internship. In class, tools to learn about engine fundamentals, machine hydraulics, Caterpillar fuel systems, machine electrical systems, transmissions, & torque converters, undercarriage/final drives, & more. Must maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Also, the opportunity to serve four paid eight-week internships at your sponsoring Caterpillar dealership to experience your future career first hand.
Qualifications
If you're currently in high school you must maintain an above average grade point & a drive for a career in service technology. Credentials including being a self-starter with good time management, planning & organizational skills, team oriented and commitment to detail recommended. Must be able to lift 70lbs. Basic computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have or will be receiving a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
