Supplier Development Engineer

A Supplier Development Engineer job in East Peoria, IL, is currently available through Belcan. This job is a full-time position with benefits located at our customer's facility and supplier's facility. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the suppliers quality and throughput. You will mainly be working with fabrication suppliers helping to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. In addition to engineering skills, you will be required to liaison with supplier and customer management for daily hardware updating, status and tracking. You will also be required to set priorities at suppliers to align with customer's expectations. To be considered for this position, you will need Bachelor's degree and five plus years of experience involving a background with in supplier development and manufacturing engineering..
Supplier Development job duties:
Follow parts on the shop floor at the suppliers to resolve issues that arise.
Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make suggestions to improve the fabrication process.
Communicate and interact with shop floor personnel, quality/process teams, customer
management team, material teams, purchasing teams and other engineers involved in the process.
Complete quality documents and evaluations at the suppliers location.
Act as a Liaison to customer management for the supplier.
Help manage and set priorities at the supplier for the customer.
Possible travel to support like facilities and suppliers.
M.S or B.S. in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Automotive and Assembly, etc. or equivalent amount of work experience involving manufacturing engineering. Experience with drive train (transmission, final drives, gears, axles) is preferred.
Two to five years of relevant work experience involving: root-cause analysis, corrective action, supplier evaluation, process development, tooling, scrap out, project management, etc.
Experience with Fabrication.
Manufacturing engineering knowledge and experiences with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, etc.
Management and Liaison experience.
Good communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
Microsoft Office skills. (Excel, PPT, Word, and Outlook).
Good decision making and problem solving skills.
Quality Experience is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
